The Autopsy of Jane Doe (Horror, Mystery, Thriller)

Directed by: André Øvredal

Written by: Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing

Running Time:  86 Minutes

I know this is a horror story, it’s scary and full of surprises. Regardless, it’s a must-watch! Here’s the catch, one day a body was found in a basement. Not knowing who it is, it was classified as a Jane Doe. It looked like an ordinary case, but apparently not. The body looked intact and in prime condition, so the coroners didn’t think much about it. But the more they investigated, the more complex it became. More and more bizarre occurrences appeared, then the bell rang.

Trust me when I said it’s not that kind of cheesy horror that doesn’t have a legit storyline and crappy make-up and costumes. It’s more of a suspense horror than in-your-face horror, but nonetheless, it’s a good creepy movie. And who doesn’t like a good horror movie?

Everything, Everything (Drama, Romance)

Directed by: Stella Maghie

Written by: J. Mills Goodloe, Nicola Yoon

Running Time: 96 Minutes

For her whole life, all she knows is within her own walls. Maddy (Amandla Sternberg) is a 17 years old teenage girl who suffers from a rare disease which make her practically allergic of anything, everything. Long story short, she doesn’t have a life of a teenager. It all changed when Olly (Nick Robinson) moved next door. They do things together—from their own windows. Little by little, Maddy started to feel her own age.

Based on a novel by Nicola Yoon, it was a sweet romance that will fit the teenage girl market. A relatable love story, a fresh change from dystopian romance that has been a hit for the past few years.

Pirates of Caribbean : Dead Men Tell No Tales (Action, Adventure, Fantasy)

Directed by:  Joachim Rønning, Espen Sandberg

Written by: Jeff Nathanson, Terry Rossio, Ted Elliott, Stuart Beattie, Jay Wolpert

Running Time: 129 Minutes

It is yet again one of Captain Jack Sparrow’s (Johnny Depp) thrilling adventures. It is really unfortunate for him to stumble on his old nemesis, Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), who died long ago, and his ghost still remained because of the desire to seek revenge. Apparently Captain Salazar intended to kill all pirates to conquer the sea, including Captain Jack Sparrow—especially Captain Jack Sparrow. No need to ponder much about how the reunion came to be, you just need to watch the movie while it’s still on the cinemas.

There are rumors that this might be the last of the series. I have mixed feelings about this, how about you? To continue the series or not continue the series, that is the question?

So this is top five movies on my watch list this month, I hope you can find a movie or two to your liking. Write to you soon!
